I am a wanderer, explorer, and experiencer of nature. I interpret the landscape around me and try to express the wonder and beauty I feel surrounded by. I currently work in and around the Durham, NC and Charleston, SC area and love the forests, rivers, streams, marsh, and ocean. I often start a painting on location and finish in my studio. My needs are minimal - some watercolors, a nice rock, sun if I’m lucky, paper, and ink.

I have over 20 years of experience crafting innovative teaching and learning experiences in elementary and middle schools, including the founding and running of a Makers Club. My experiences in educational technology and innovation includes chairing an international board on innovative learning technologies, working in an international school, as well as conference planning and presenting. Currently, I am the Innovation Director at Duke School in Durham, NC.
